Our Story
Hello, my name is Becki and I am the Designer and CEO of Sea Nympho™.
My Boyfriend, Michael, and I were both raised in sunny Florida, the land of beaches. The water has always been a big part of both of our lives. Michael loves to fish ( don't get me wrong I like fishing, but I suck, I would catch a boot in a hatchery) and I love to swim. Needless to say, we have frequented several beaches in Florida over the years.
Sea Nympho™ was created in our kitchen one night while playing spades and talking about fishing.
I had to stop playing cards to take my bra off because the wires were jabbing me in my armpits. We thought, "what if we could design more comfortable clothes for women of all sizes that had an awesome brand name that people would love," and well, here we are!
I spent almost a year without really thinking about it again until one day, while riding to Daytona Beach. We were talking about the fishing community and again the name Sea Nympho™ came up. This time, we talked about designs and ideas.
I had ideas for clothing, jewelry, art, and other accessories. One other thing I wanted to make sure I included on this venture was CONSERVATION! This is huge! I thought not only could I help create some awesome clothing designs and have a RAD name but I could help save the oceans and creatures in it.
Sea Nympho™ is about more than just clothing it's about raising awareness. I know we aren't perfect but at least we are trying!
Before I fully decided on the logo I thought of using a mermaid. I mean hey, everyone likes mermaids, but I thought of the one-size-fits-all beauty mermaids portray, and didn't want to go with that theme. We are real people and we have real lives.
Then I thought of the free flowing and natural look of an octopus. An octopus just lives and doesn't care about people judging it's beauty. Octopi adapt to change and protect what they love with their lives. Instead of the little mermaid look, I went with the Ursula look because, well...
some days you just feel more like a salty witch.

Plastic has been found in more than 60% of all seabirds and in 100% of sea turtles species, that mistake plastic for food. And when animals ingest plastic, it can cause life-threatening problems, including reduced fitness, nutrient uptake and feeding efficiency—all vital for survival.
